The Screen Sharing never disappears on menu bar

Hi,

I'm using Mac Sonoma. The other day, I shared my screen on Google Meet Safari while connecting to the TV by a cable. After the meeting, my computer got stuck with the screen sharing icon on the menu bar, even though I'm not currently sharing my screen anywhere, and I've even closed Safari.

I've tried restarting, going back into Google Meet to share the screen and then turning it off, but it hasn't been effective.

Do you have any solutions? I appreciate it.

Thank you.

In addition to the advice by leroydouglas, you may try going to

System Settings->General->Sharing, and turn screen sharing off.

That should get rid of the icon from the menu bar.

Then try turning it on again.

Can you hold the Command key and drag it off ?
