I was unable to open WhatsApp as it said I required an update. There was sufficient space on my iPhone XR and on my iCloud account. My iPhone is set to automatically backup WhatsApp messages. I tried switching my phone off and on but this did not work. I then checked with WhatsApp and they said to uninstall the app then reinstall it which I did. After I reinstalled WhatsApp it began to work again allowing me to send and receive messages. Unfortunately my chats from 2019 until present day have been removed from my WhatsApp chats. Chats prior to this date still appear on my account. I have also done a recent back up on iCloud but have been told that it will override the previous backup.
Can anyone let me know if there is any way I can restore my WhatsApp chats from 2019 until present as they contain some useful information to me.
I would also be willing to use a third party service to retrieve these chats back onto my phone.
