iPad Pro and Apple Pencil

I downloaded a book that includes work pages that have questions. Is there a workaround for utilizing the Apple Pencil 3rd gen to be able to answer the questions or make notes in the margins in Apple Books?

If the book is stored in the books app as a PDF you may be able to use Markup to write on it.

If its not a PDF, then you cannot Mark it up.

click here ➜ Save and edit PDFs to the Books app on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

You can take screen shots of the relevant pages and use the pencil in the Photos App to mark it up and write on them.
