Change the age of the kid from20 to 13 :)

Hello, I had the family sharing with my child and

parental  control correspondently.

The kid (quite a smart one) removed himself from the family group

(used my phone) and somehow changed the age to 20.

I need to get it back to 13. I joined him back to Family, logged in to his Appl ID  on appleid.apple.com, tried to change the date of birth to 02.09.2010 . I got the mail with request to confirm the

changes, followed the instructions, but the process failed with the mistake 500 (whatever it is). I tried again, but the next mail with confirmation request has not come.

What to do? I can't lose this fight :)

From the support article: Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID - Apple Support

To change a birth date to any age below 13 (age varies by country), you must be a member of a Family Sharing group [ Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support ], and your family organizer must approve the change. After you change a birth date to any age below 13, you can't alter it except by contacting Apple Support --> Contact - Official Apple Support

1. Follow the instructions in the article to update the birth date on an Apple mobile device or on the web.

2. Follow the onscreen steps to send an email request to your family organizer.

3. Your family organizer will get an email with instructions to approve the request.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

the problem is I followed exactly the instructions below.

  1. Update the birth date.
  2. Follow the onscreen steps to send an email request to your family organizer.
  3. Your family organizer will get an email with instructions to approve the request.

I got an email to approve the age changes, clicked 'approve', but after some redirections to Apple ID site I got the info that the process failed (as described in my original message).

I took one more attempt to change the kids' age, but this time no email came.

So I am wondering how to settle this,,,
