Can anyone tell me how to pin a frequently communicated name under messages?

Hold your finger on the contact in the message list, and tap PIN on the menu that appears.

Text messages not showing contact name. I have only noticed this over the last couple of days but it seems when someone messages me it does not display their name. It simply just says messages has anyone else ran into this? Is there a way to change it back so it displays your contacts name?

Pin a specific text message It would be nice to have the ability to pin individual text messages. For example, you’re sent an address 2 weeks ago from someone you text often, you have to scroll through hundreds of old messages just to find the needed address again. But if we could pin that address message we can easily find it when we need that information. Please consider updating this service. Thank you.

Messages allows you to pin a conversation. From the iPhone User Guide:
