Screen Issue with IPhone 14 Pro Max

Out of the blue my screen started to glitch. Never been dropped, always had protective casing on, never left on overnight charge. This is literally the worse feeling ever, as saved quite a lot, worked hard to be able to finally buy this but then this happens. Initial prognosis is bad, repair shops are all saying to change screen. But how can a perfectly good screen give up like this the next second? Can someone at Apple reach out and at least let us know what happened exactly? What can be done and if it is repairable or not?
