how to receive parental permissions

I just recently upgraded my device to a Samsung after a decade. My Apple Watch is still currently connected to my Apple I.D, and my sons Apple Tablet is also still connected to my Find My and is connected to my "Family plan".

I was receiving codes through my iPhone to approve requests, and purchases. Now that I don't have that iPhone, I am not sure how to receive the requests, or let alone type on the Apple watch to put in my Apple ID password now.

I have a laptop that is HP, and can log into my Apple account, but still don't see the requests showing up. I also cannot log into my Apple watch without having a secondary keyboard to type my Apple ID password in, since I no longer have an iPhone.

You'll have to do it on the child's device.

From: Set up Ask to Buy - Apple Support

See the section below for how to get approval in person.

How children or teens can make a request with Ask to Buy

1. To buy or download an item, tap the price or Get button. Or if you're using an Apple Watch, double-click the side button, then enter your passcode.

2. If asked, enter your Apple ID and password.

3. Tap Ask. If your parent or guardian is nearby, you can tap "approve it in person" and they can approve the purchase directly from your device.

4. After your parent or guardian buys the item, it downloads to your device automatically.

A Watch needs to be paired with an iPhone, but that's a separate issue.
