what did you buy? iCloud?

You cannot increase your device storage space - it will always be the same as when you bought it. Icloud is a syncing service, not meant for computer storage. You need to do some housekeeping and move files to an external drive or delete them if you no longer need them. You need to have a minimum of 10 - 15 GB of empty space at all times for your OS to be a able to work.
