iCloud Drive and Family Sharing

My partner uses her iCloud Drive to store her photos and other data. She currently has a subscription for 2gig of storage. She is in my Family Sharing group and can share my iCloud Drive storage space. I just subscribed to Apple One Premier with 2TB of space. This is shared with my family-more than I will ever need.

Can she drop her personal subscription and just use the shared space in our Family group? Will she notice any difference or data loss?

Thanks for the help.

She can switch from her plan to the shared plan. See the instructions in the "Switch from your personal iCloud+ plan to your family plan" section of Share iCloud+ with your family - Apple Support

There isn't any difference other than the amount of storage available and the billing. Her data continues to be where it always has been, accessed via her own Apple ID.
