How do I report a macOS bug that causes a crash?

I've been experiencing a bug that's reproducible 100% of the time on my system. Latest macOS, mbp 16 pro max.

The bug causes the system to crash, I've been hoping an update would fix it, but I just lost 3 hours of work and I'm getting tired of this bug, so I'd like to report this to someone appropriate. It's obscure enough that I doubt it'll get fixed unless I report it, and even then I have my doubts.

If I report a bug through the appropriate channels, does it just get thrown in the trash or are they actually reviewed by someone?

I won't bother outlining the details of the bug here (unless requested) because it's somewhat long-winded.
