Setting up email account on iPhone

I am now getting the message The IMAP server ‘imap-mail.outlook.com’ doesn’t support password authentication.

my email is outlook.co.uk

Help I’ve deleted account & tried installing it but keep getting the error message…any help would be appreciated

Changing password for existing email account provokes "Invalid Email Address" error in iOS Settings I was required by Xfinity to reset my password this morning. That went fine and I changed my email passwords on my mac and iPad. I then tried to change the password on my iPhone (iOS V17.2) and after changing the password and hitting "Done" I got an error about an invalid email address. The address was already entered (had been there for years) so I reentered it (yes, correctly) and still get the same error. So, I'm basically unable to update the password for this email account. The only difference that I can see is that my iPhone uses the IMAP server for incoming emails and the mac and iPad I successfully changed use POP. I've seen a number of mentions of this particular error but none that had a solution to the problem. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

iPhone not accepting IMAP password for email accounts My iPhone keeps asking me for my iMAP password. I thought it was correct, but will not accept. I have several email accts.

Problem with mail app after updating to iOS 26 After updating to iOS 26 on my iPhone 13 mini I cannot get mail from my Yahoo mail account using the Apple mail app. Both the gmail and iCloud mail accounts are updating ok. But when I try to update the Yahoo mail I get a message that says: connection to server failed, server code AUTHENTICATION FAILED, AUTHENTICATE Invalid credentials I assume this probably means I need to put in a password somewhere but I can't figure out where. Anyone else had this problem?
