Do I have to put money on my card or can I take money from it and put it in my checking account?

My Apple Card says it has a $2000 available credit. Can I transfer some of that to my checking without preloading the card?

iPhone 11, iOS 17

Apple Card Mastercard is a credit card. You cannot preload an Apple Card. It’s not a gift card or prepaid debit card. You use the card worldwide to purchase goods and services at merchants that accept Mastercard. When you use the card you need to pay it back or else you’ll have to pay interest each month. It’s not free money. Your available credit is not something you can transfer.
