Instagram stories aren't showing since update on my iPhone

This is what got it solved for me. After a few days trying everything, I learned how to report a problem inside Instagram. Go to the Home Screen where the stories are supposed to appear. Then use the “shake your device to report a problem” feature. When you shake the device, a new support request is created with the image of the screen. After a few minutes it got solved.

Someone on this thread suggested to delete the fb app. I deleted and reinstalled and my stories appeared at the top of screen again

Try deleting the app and reinstalling it. If that doesn't help, contact Instagram support.

Try deleting the FB app. Some people have reported that has helped.

As soon as I deleted the Facebook app, IG stories reappeared for me, thanks ?

iOS users can try offloading Instagram!! Might help.

Same issue here. Hasn’t been fixed. I report it on instagram every time I open the app.

Stories don’t show up on iOS. Started happening mid-February when I got a new iPhone 14 Max.

Stories do not show up on iPhone or iPad instagram but do show up on chrome desktop. So it’s gotta be an iOS issue and not a IG or account issue.

Originally I had an issue where link in bio’s weren’t showing up. So I deleted and re-installed IG. Now links show up in bios but stories have disappeared from every iOS device and they haven’t come back.

I’ll occasionally getting a notification with the summary of recent stories and I can view stories briefly. But they don’t show up at the top of the feed anymore.

Apple can't fix Instagram. Instagram is a Facebook/Meta product.

They show fine on my 4 business accounts and my cat's account, but not my personal account.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and based on recommendations online - I’ve updated my phone to the newest version, updated the app to the newest version, wifi connection is fine, tried doing a hard restart, logging out of Instagram and back in, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, clearing the app's cache… nothing has worked.

I too, have done all of those things and nothing is working. I’ve reported to Insta many times and nothing. Also- when I delete an acct that I follow it says I’m no longer following, but the number of accts I follow doesn’t change. I see other updates have happened since my problems began, but nothing is helping. I’m getting so annoyed!!!

In the same boat, I tried all the guides available. It started in February as well. Stories are really useful to keep touch with my clients.... This is really annoying. It has to be a problem with iphone, as I can see the stories throught safari browser.

Does anybody finds a way to solve this problem? Stories do not show on top on the feed anymore...I tried to reinstall the app, log out and log in, restart my phone, update IOS to latest version. Nothing works on me. I opened on pc and that works so it must be the problem of Iphone

This has been happening to me too! Starting Feb 7/24 I can’t see any stories. I’ve reported to Insta several times and nothing. Have you had any luck with anything?

Yes I have an iPhone 15 Promax and this problem has now been happening for 2 weeks. I can see stories sometime now, but they don’t refresh and they disappear again sometimes too. I’m so done!!
