Both, there are some that I have already earned, and some that are repeated every year that I have not earned. Either way the entire category (if it is it’s own category) is missing.
An example, ring in the new year, is done every year. I have earned it some years and not others. Both the years I’ve earned it and the years I have not like 2024 are both missing. I cannot earn something I do not even know the criteria for. (Or maybe you can but I can’t tell since they do not show up)
Currently the previous years had had “Heart month” where you have a task to do on February 14th to earn this special badge.
My request for an updated way of fixing the problem is based off the previous years explaining how to either reset/repair the devices which fixed the issue one year, or a method of removing and reconnecting the health app to fix the issue after they renamed health and that was the reason it wasn’t updating on the activity app (now named fitness).
This year is also different and if there is anyone out there that has the updated way to have these special badges show back up that is what I am looking for.
If it requires Apple to fix it, then it is not something that any user could do and would require the phone / watch to be sent out for repairs or a new code/update to the app to be released. While this is possible, it is unlikely due to the previous years having a method of fixing the problem through steps the end user could do themselves. I really hope it’s not something that Apple has to do themselves. If so then yourself and LD150 are correct but it would be a strange change of direction for such a large company to take and not something most much smaller businesses could manage.
