Hello, I just bought brand new MBP Max 3 and Samsung Viewfinity S9 monitor. Problem is that monitor turn on my MB. MB was powered off for sure, not in sleep mode. At night I had to power off my MB 3 times.
Monitor and MB software is up to date.
FYI, the new MacBook computers have an unusual "feature". They power up when the lid is opened. They will also power up when you press any key if the computer is shut down with the lid open.
I say this because the blame may not be the monitor (though it may be), but could fall on, if you have one, your... cat (?). 😃
I dont have any pets. One thing I've noticed is when I power on monitor from pilot, MB also goes power up O.o
