Photos will not export any longer

Photos will not export. It gives me this error no matter whether I am export to internal or external drives. I have read some feeds that said it may the update to macOS Ventura 13.5.2. I do have a lack of space on my Main drive, but plenty on my externals. I am trying to make space by exporting the photos. However, I also can't find the physical photos on my Mac. They are not in the "Pictures" folder. when I do a search for them by name, they are not on my Mac. So I thought they may be in iCloud, but they are not there either. I can't seem to access the actual pictures I downloaded from my iPhone to my Mac. Where are they?

How do I export? I tried exporting to my desktop, I tried turning off "Live Photo". I tried finding the specific picture in the file (Reveal in Finder) button does not work on the error window. Where are my photos and how can I make space on my Mac exporting my photos to an external drive?

Exporting from the library is not moving the library. You can move the library by dragging it from the Pictures Folder to the external disk as a single icon, then hold down the option (or alt) key and launch Photos. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and point at your iPhoto Library. It will do the rest.

Once your are sure the move has gone well, you can delete the library on your internal.

I believe Yer_Man was referring to moving your entire Photos library to the external drive and operate from there.

If all you have is 5 GB of free space on your boot drive that is entirely not enough, Updates and upgrades need a minimum of 40+ GB to install. One should strive to maintain a minimum of 80-100 GB of free space at all times to optimize system and application performance.
