WTH is up with FCPX on Mac mini M2?

Hey Everyone,

I'm having so many problems with FCPX on my 2023 Mac mini M2. Everything is updated to the latest version, plenty of HD space internally and external, but it continually either doesn't respond correctly, freezes with a beach ball, or even crashes. These are small projects, none over 15 minutes and with no special effects or 3rd part software. I am using an external drive but it's a new Lacie 7200. If anyone has any information re: settings, anything, please let me know.

Can't believe I gave up my trashcan pro for this. About to throw it out the window.

Thanks,

Jon

it continually either doesn't respond correctly, freezes with a beach ball, or even crashes.

1. Delete the FCP environment settings (start FCP while holding down option+⌘)

2. Select library →File →Delete generated library file →Delete rendering file →All

3. The project may be corrupt. Please move the timeline contents to the new project.

4. Just to be sure, please post a report on EtreCheck (add text)
