Connected to Modem, but no WiFi bars

Just got set up with Cox internet today at a new build. Modem light says it's connected to internet and working. The phone initially connected for a few seconds with full WiFi signal showing up, but then dropped it immediately. Since then, it won't connect anymore. Iphone connects to the modem, but Iphone says it's not connected to the internet. I reset the modem and the phone twice each. I don't have enough of a cell signal to search the internet when I'm at the house, so I have to do these searches when I get back into town.

It seems like you're experiencing connectivity issues with your Wi-Fi network. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

  1. Check Modem Lights:
    1. Ensure that all the lights on your modem are stable and as expected. Usually, there are lights for power, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi.
  2. Power Cycle:
    1. Turn off both the modem and your Wi-Fi router (if you have a separate router).
    2. Wait for about 10-15 seconds.
    3. Turn on the modem first and wait for all lights to stabilize.
    4. If you have a separate router, turn it on next and wait for it to fully restart.
  3. Change Wi-Fi Settings:
    1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
    2. Forget the Wi-Fi network you're trying to connect to.
    3. Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network by entering the correct password.
