How to retrieve my iTunes Library ?

Hi, I installed a separate Apple Music application because I wanted to see how it works. Unfortunately, this application has no connection with Last.fm, so I don't want to use it for now. I uninstalled AM but my entire itunes library is completely gone. How can I restore it?

You cannot import any playlists from a .itl iTunes library file in this way. You would have to load your *.itl iTunes library as a whole first. If you press and hold 'shift' as you open iTunes you should get a window asking to choose a library file to open or to create a new library. Click on 'Choose Library' and select the *itl file in C:\Users\[yourname]\Music\iTunes or C:\Users\[yourname]\Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Libraries . Hopefully you can recover at least some of your old iTunes library.

Well I had a play with the new Apple Music app on Windows yesterday too and I didn't like it either so I wanted to revert back, However, when you install AM it uses your existing itunes library file (iTunes Library.itl in my case) to create and update the data and then it completely stops you running itunes again for music. I uninstalled apple music and itunes together and reinstalled iTunes and copied and replaced my iTunes library files in C:\Users\[yourname]\Music\iTunes. iTunes in the past may have created backup copies of your library in this same folder from which you might be able recover most of your library. If you don't have any backup *.itl files available then I am afraid you'll probably have to create a new library in itunes again and start from scratch. I wish this helps.
