After iOS 17.3.1 update my iPhone won't connect to provider

I’ve just updated my phone to iOS 17.3.1 and it won’t connect to my phone provider (with 3 in the UK). When I switch off the wifi connection it’s useless - any advice?

Ive tried turning it off and on again and toggled it onto airplane mode and back again.

I also just updated my iPhone 13 Pro to 17.3.1 this morning and it quit working. It says it is a problem with the cellular and apple support is telling me it is a hardwear problem with my phone. It worked this morning, I updated the phone as suggested, then it quit working. What the heck Apple. I live over 2 hours from an apple store so I can't just run down the the genius bar. This is an apple problem they need to fix or replace!

Same here. Ever since 17.3.1, my gps has been totally broken. It takes, literally LITERALLY, 10 minutes after opening any GPS based app for the phone gps to actually work/load maps. Sometimes it doesn’t start working at all. This is actually unacceptable and extremely dangerous, as GPS is a necessity in my life. This is the first time I’ve been legitimately furious with Apple, and I’ve been with them since the first iPhone. (Provider is TMobile)

I’m not with AT&T and since this upgrade I can’t get more than 1-2 bars in most areas. My phone is completely useless. I received a new phone through Assurant and netted the same results. I have been working with TMobile for over a week now with no resolution. Basically, if I leave my house or a WIFi zone, I cannot use my phone for anything. I was out yesterday and two of us with iPhones on TMobile had 1 bar, the other person has a 14 Max Pro and I have the 11 Max Pro. We both couldn’t use our phones at all.mour friend with a Samsung was working fine with three bars.

I have the same problem happening for a almost a week now. I have Croatian eSIM on which I can only receive texts and calls after the update(no internet). Since I am currently in Bordeaux, France, I took my phone out to Apple store (14 pro) and they said that they never saw such a problem. They even inserted their own sim cards to see if it is the carrier’s fault and there was still no internet service. They said that they have to send the phone for bigger checks outside Bordeaux to analyse all of this and gave me a new phone while they don’t see what is wrong. Guess what.. on the second phone.. the same problem with that latest software (iPhone Xr). I am so mad that if I am not so deeply in their ecosystem, I’d buy a Samsung one because this is not a small issue.

after the 17.3.1 update my phone won't connect to Wifi and has very low bars so barely works. coincidentally this was the same time I got a new iPhone 13 and the same issue I can't even set it up as nothing will connect. hoping someone has found a solution as I use my phone for work and neither of them are working as several apps are stuck in frozen mode since the update.

did the

force restart

forget Wifi network and reconnect

reset network settings

I have the same issue on my iPhone 12 Pro Max after updating to 17.3.1. Phone is constantly looking for network and not recognising the sim. Tried another SIM card in my phone still no good. Tried my SIM card in different phone and worked as normal. Tried all the above fixes eg. Airplane mode, reset network settings, turned off phone etc but still have the network bar in constant search in a wave formation ( eg moves like a wave from left to right ). Any idea how to fix the problem?

Honestly, it isn't fair Apple is not looking into why some iphone users have had issues with their phones JUST after upgrading to 17.3.1. My network signal was totally off and I could not even use the phone for internet via the carrier SIM, only wifi worked. I took it to Apple here in Canada, they did their diagnostics and they tell me the network part (or so) failed. I will have to pay a hefty amount to repair this.

I since traded in my phone because I want ready to pay that high for a fault I think was not from my perfectly working phone. Someone decided to buy it as is and gave me another phone to pay difference.

I contacted my provider and they said that they found what the issue was about. The reason for this is that APN network settings of some providers have been changed after the last update and we as the end users cannot see that and change that in settings. My provider said to me that “eon connect” causes the problems and that it forces APN settings to that. Lots of people have the same issue (even friend of mine). They removed that “eon connect” from my APN and I restarted the phone and it worked properly.

Hi, me too I’ve some issues about mobile network and it’s not from the Provider the issue.

I've a Dual SIM since ever on my iPhone and when I’ve upgraded from 17.3 to 17.3.1, I immediately start to have issues about the iPhone switching automatically from provider when receiving calls or simple text messages.

even the signal itself start to switching from 4G to 3G and even 2G (EDGE) and it has difficulties to switch over to 4G alone.

the only way to do it is by going to Settings and switch the profile for the other provider and I got automatically 4G at maximum signal from

this provider.

since I’ve installed 17.4 on the release day, the text messages are a bit better but no like it was since ever 17.3 or older….

Apple, please fix this because I’ve a lot of issues when someone want to call me and this starts happening after upgrading from 17.3 to 17.3.1
