Just can't get rid of BackService

I haven't used this Mac for a while - since I got a new MacMini. Turned it on a couple of weeks ago, and am hindered by

"BackService" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

MacOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware

Safari downloaded this file on 25 July 2018.

The only options allowed are then Move to Bin and Cancel. Press Move to Bin - and it says "BackService could not be moved to Bin. Please move this manually. Whilst Cancel just closes the warning and it re-appears two seconds later.

Now, I've been using this Mac well since 2017 - 2022 well, with no problems. How come all of a sudden I am?

I've read various places, removed profiles, removed all applications I'm not solidly familiar with, even downloaded and run Malwarebytes for Mac. None of these have solved the issue.

Thanks. I did try some of that. In the end, I found another way. Within System Preferences, I told the Mac to run BackService despite the warnings, and as it was starting, I right-clicked and asked it to show me the item in Finder. It did, it was in an obscure folder. I forced stopped it, and then deleted, and emptied the bin, and it stopped! Thanks nonetheless.
