Add Eve motion sensor to HomeKit

I am trying to add an Eve motion sensor to HomeKit. My HomeKit hub is an Apple TV 4K. The Eve app can connect to HomeKit and see all my HomeKit connected devices. When I try to add the motion sensor I get an error message “Thread Border Router Required”.

Since you have the Eve app, open it and then click on “Settings” in the lower right corner of the screen.

Next, click on “Thead Network”

On this screen, look towards the bottom and your Apple Thread Router(s) should be listed.

I have several routers listed but one of them is the leader. Here’s a screenshot:

Next, click on your Leader. Inside there, it’ll show you the signal strength of each device it is leading.

I’m wondering if you’re trying to set up your motion detector in an area that doesn’t have a strong enough signal. Are any of the listed devices in the same room as where you’re wanting the motion detector? If so, how strong is the signal to and from the other device?
