Mac OS cannot verify that this app is free from malware". What can I do?

i just updated my OS Mojave to Catalina and I have undeletable message that appears : ""node" cannot be opened because the developper cannot be verified.

If I clic cancel, it disappears for 20 sec and is back. and when i clic "move to trash", this is the message posted on screen (above). If I try to find "node" on my hard drive, I says :"no files found"

It seems like you're encountering an issue with a node.js-based application on your Mac, and the system is giving you a security warning because it cannot verify the developer. To fix this, you can try removing node manually from your Mac as stated in the second screenshot.

  1. Open Finder and select Go from the menu bar.
  2. Then, select Go to Folder Go
  3. Type /usr/local/lib in the text box and click Go
  4. Delete all files with the word “node” in the name.

Once you do that, repeat the same process for all the directories given below:

  • /usr/local/bin
  • /opt/local/bin/
  • /opt/local/lib/
  • /usr/local/lib/dtrace/
  • /opt/local/include/
  • /usr/local/include
  • /usr/local/share/doc/
  • /usr/local/share/man/man1/
  • /usr/local/share/systemtap/tapset/
