I need a protective case that won’t muffle sound.
I’ve used Lifeproof Fre on most of my phones but they muffle the speakerphone.
i often have to take the cover off to use so I’m thinking I should get one where screen protector will still fit. and I can use a second case.

Sort of a difficult set of requirements to meet. Protective cases, as you may well know, are typically extra "thick" or use additional padding to help prevent damage to the phone. These, in turn, can and will dampen sound depending on where that extra material is located.
FWIW, when I need a protective case for my devices, I typically use those by Pelican. However, there are a number of others that make these. I haven't done any quantitative studies on which allow for more sound to pass through ... but that would be subjective at best. What you consider acceptable may not be the same as what I do.
