I am having issues with Siri with my airpods pro (2nd generation) and she will not respond to “Siri” or “Hey Siri”

I have tried resetting my phone, updating it, forgetting the airpods then reconnecting, and used the Apple Support website, but Siri still won’t respond whenever I call her.

Siri not working with AirPods. I have seen this question asked before, but have not found a working solution yet. I am getting no response when I say "Hey Siri" while wearing my AirPods. I can still talk to Siri if I hold down the side-button on the phone, so I know the microphone is still working. I have already tried resetting the AirPods, restarting the phone, and switching Siri off and on in settings. Device info: iPhone 15, iOS 18.5 - I think the AirPods are 2nd gen if I remember right.

Siri only intermittently works with AirPods Pro2 Just got my first pair of AirPods Pro2. So far I am very disappointed. They do not work well with Siri at all. And I absolutely love using Siri. She can make phone calls, give me directions, open apps all without me ever touching the phone. It’s one of the best features of any phone!! 90% of the time using the EarPods Siri does not work. Sometimes she hears me sometimes she doesn’t. Sometimes she responds with a long delay. Like when I ask her to dial a phone number, she only catches the last few digits or she completely calls a different number. Or she doesn’t hear me at all. I can scream hey Siri 10 times and she still sleeps. Siri works perfectly when talking to her directly to the phone. Just not when not using AirPods. I tried resetting all of the Siri settings in the phone, and called tech-support two times to no avail. They just don’t communicate well with Siri. I’m at a loss with what to do. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. These things are way too expensive not to work right. And I am not giving Siri up! iPhone 13 Pro Max. AirPods Pro2. Phone has all updates. Yes, I’ve tried restarting the phone.
