If the iPad disabled or Activation Locked, unless you can independently obtain assistance from the previous owner, the iPad is (and will remain) useless to you. If you are able to contact the original owner, they will require this information:

Here are the Apple support pages that outline the Activation Lock - and the only mechanisms by which it can be satisfied:

Activation Lock for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Turn off Activation Lock – Apple Support

As you will discover, unless you are the owner of the AppleID that was last used to activate the device, you’ll not be able to defeat or bypass the Activation Lock. With documentary evidence that you are the original owner (such as the original sales receipt showing the serial number), Apple may be prepared to assist - otherwise they and nobody here will be able to help you.

The All Too Common SAD Reality of Buying … - Apple Community

Here is what Apple suggests when purchasing a previously used device:

Check for Activation Lock before you buy a device from someone else

Before you buy an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, from someone other than Apple or an authorized Apple reseller, make sure that the device is erased and no longer linked to the previous owner’s account. Follow these steps to check if the device is ready to use:

  1. Turn on and unlock the device.
  2. If the passcode lock screen or the Home screen appears, the device hasn't been erased. Ask the seller to completely erase the device by going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Don't take ownership of any used iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until it's been erased.
  3. Begin the device setup process.
  4. If you're asked for the previous owner’s Apple ID and password, the device is still linked to their account. Hand the device back to the seller and ask them to enter their password. If the previous owner isn't present, contact them as soon as possible and ask them to use a browser to remove the device from their account. Don't take ownership of any used iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until it has been removed from the previous owner’s account.

You will know that a device is ready for you to use when you're asked to "Set up your iPhone," “Set up your iPad," or “Set up your iPod” the first time you turn it on.

If you're unable to log in to a secondhand iPad Pro (1st generation) with your own information, it's possible that the device is still linked to the previous owner's Apple ID. Here's what you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Contact the previous owner: If you have contact information for the previous owner, reach out to them and ask them to remove the device from their Apple ID account. They can do this by signing in to their iCloud account and removing the device from their list of trusted devices.

2. Perform a factory reset: If you're unable to contact the previous owner or they're unable to remove the device from their Apple ID account, you may need to perform a factory reset on the iPad Pro. This will erase all data on the device, including the previous owner's information. Here's how to do it:

a. Turn off the iPad Pro by holding down the Power button until the "Slide to Power Off" slider appears, then slide it to power off.

b. Once the device is powered off, press and hold the Home button (or the Volume Down button on iPads without a Home button) while connecting it to your computer using a USB cable.

c. Keep holding the Home button (or Volume Down button) until you see the iTunes logo and a message saying "Connect to iTunes" on the iPad's screen.

d. Launch iTunes on your computer. If you're using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, open Finder instead of iTunes.

e. iTunes (or Finder) should detect the iPad in recovery mode and prompt you to restore or update the device. Choose the option to "Restore" the iPad to factory settings.

f. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the restoration process. This will erase all data on the iPad and install the latest version of iPadOS.

g. Once the process is complete, set up the iPad Pro as a new device with your own Apple ID and credentials.

3. Seek Apple support: If you encounter any issues during the process or if the iPad Pro is still linked to the previous owner's Apple ID after performing a factory reset, consider contacting Apple Support for further assistance. They may be able to help you resolve the issue or provide additional guidance.

By following these steps, you should be able to log in to the iPad Pro with your own information and use it as intended.

item 1. is the ONLY way to solve this. The rest of your post is just filling space without providing any useful information. 2. will not solve it, and 3. will not solve it; Apple ONLY unlocks Activation Lock on a phone for the original purchaser who bought it NEW from either Apple or an Apple authorized reseller, who can prove with a receipt and ID that they are the original purchaser.

AI has a long way to go before it is useful.

This is entirely wrong. If the iPad is still logged into the previous owner's Apple ID, factory resetting it isn't an option. Please actually read and check the answers you're getting from the generative AI before posting them.
