Using an iPad 4th Gen as a monitor for a Windows PC

Hi,

Pretty much as the title says, I have an iPad 4th gen. I want to use it as a distraction free writing machine, but I can't install any apps, as the version of iOS is too old. I also have an Intel Compute Stick, running Windows 10, with a HDMI output, so I am wondering if there is any way that I can connect the iPad to the HDMI output of the stick PC.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

John.

I can't see a way of deleting a post, so I'll just reply for now, to say I have figured it out.

In case anybody else ever wants to do the same, I installed Spacedesk on the Stick PC, and connected the iPad to that, using the lightning to USB cable, and the iPad now appears as a second screen.

It won't be any good for gaming, but it will allow me to use the iPad, which has got to be better than scrapping it, or sending it off to be recycled.
