The Times website had a problem yesterday and I got error 494. Today I can get the website on other devices but my iPad is stuck in error 494 for that website only. I can get other websites on my iPad and I can get that website on other devices.

Try clearing cached website data from your iPad:
Settings > Safari > Clear History & Website Data
