Why can’t I redeem my free trial of Apple Arcade

I cannot redeem my free trial of Apple Arcade that I received when I purchased Backbone device. My trial period ended with Apple for buying the phone but will not allow me to use or redeem my free trial through my backbone purchase? Why? Help please this issue is very aggravating. Thank you!
