Creating a timecode macro for Numbers

I would like to create a keyboard shortcut macro to type timecode in real time with just one or two clicks in Numbers. I log timecode for broadcast productions and would like to do so quickly instead of typing it out while watching the clock--I hope this makes sense. If there is any way to program this I would love to learn!

Anna,

Insert Time I've found, is now in the Table Menu, and it has a keyboard shortcut. I'd been using my script since 2014 and hadn't noticed the built-in feature.

Highlight the Cell where you want to stamp the current time, format it in Format > Cell > (choose your favorites), and choose Table > Insert Current Time.

The Keyboard Shortcut is Shift-Ctrl-Cmd-T, and it's nearly instantaneous.
