Remove/delete a device on the screen mirror

I upgraded my TV a few weeks ago and the screen mirroring, I can still find the old one. I have spent approximately 30 minutes talking to Apple support, and they said that there is no way to delete it, which I think is ridiculous. If anybody knows how, please let me know.
