CPU and GPU Temperature Check

I've had and used MacFanControl to monitor the temp's on my iMac's and Mac mini's for many many years.

Beware using the Fan Control section as it can be a little tricky.

For Intel hardware only (not all Macs will provide a report) try this in the Terminal:

sudo powermetrics -n 1 --samplers smc | egrep "(CPU|GPU) die|Fan"

Yeah' you can use the manual control to speed up the fan a few hundred rpm for extra cooling or use the auto fan control based on the cpu/gpu temp's.
