Sharing any item via share sheet to a contact doesn't load the contact

For a few months now, everytime I share an item and choose a contact, the contact's name seems to trying and sync and doesn't end up loading. I need to delete the name (no contact) and manually type in the person again so it loads properly. Ideas?
