Events duplicate notes every time

I use the calendar on my iPhone (I don’t have a Mac) and I put my work schedule on it so my family knows it in advance. I love the repeat function of location, who is invited and sometimes the time prediction is close (albeit my schedule fluctuates, a lot!) but I don’t use the notes but every once in a while. When I do though, it’s because they’re is something unique about this day that I want to point out and not have the thing show up on every work day I schedule from now till the end of time! Is there a way to delete the notes so that they do not show up on future events other than manually deleting them every time I put another schedule day in?
