Adding someone as a co-owner to Apple Card - Does it run their credit?

If I want to add someone as a co-owner for my already existing apple card, is their credit ran before hand to see if they are approved? If yes, does that affect the credit limit?

The short answer is yes, they will have their credit report reviewed and it will be taken into consideration when deciding their credit worthiness. If the co-owner is approved, it could raise or lower the credit limit on the account, depending on how credit review is evaluated. In my experience, the credit limit generally stays about the same.
