Two locations in MacBook Pro sidebar appear in English when it's not the selected language.

Hello Guys! I’m new in the community and I’d like to post an issue about the sidebar in the Finder of my new MacBook Pro 16” that already works with the latest version of macOS. I’m Italian so my computer is Italian setted as main system language as well (and there aren’t any languages added in the settings) but despite that two locations in the sidebar of iCloud appear in English: they’re Documents and Desktop and they should be named “Documenti” and “Scrivania” (in Italian). So how could I edit or change the language of them?

I add a screenshot to share you better the problem

Thank You in advance for your help

Ciao! Welcome to the community! Here's a potential solution to adjust the language display:

1. Check System Language Settings:

   - Ensure that your macOS system language is set to Italian. You mentioned that your main system language is Italian, but it's good to verify this setting to make sure it's correctly configured.

2. Reset Sidebar Preferences:

   - Try resetting the Finder sidebar preferences to default. Here's how you can do it:

     - Open any Finder window.

     - Click on "Finder" in the top menu bar.

     - Select "Preferences."

     - Go to the "Sidebar" tab.

     - Uncheck and re-check the boxes for iCloud Drive, Documents, and Desktop.

     - Close the Finder Preferences and check if the names have updated.

3. Check iCloud Settings:

   - Go to System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud.

   - Make sure that iCloud Drive is enabled and the associated iCloud Drive options are configured correctly.

4. Restart Your Mac:

   - Sometimes, a simple restart can help refresh system settings and resolve minor display issues.

5. Feedback to Apple:

   - If the issue persists, consider providing feedback to Apple regarding this language display inconsistency. They might address such issues in future updates.

Remember, changes may not reflect instantly, and sometimes macOS may take a bit of time to update language settings across all aspects of the system. Your screenshot would indeed be helpful for a clearer understanding of the problem.

Can or will the user please provide a phone number or a link to where on the Apple Website this information can be retrieved including the Feedback web link ?

Suppling the suggestion without supporting information is akin to one hand clapping and leaving the person one is trying to support hanging in the air

Note really being helpful, is it not ?

Hi 0Wishtobefree0 and thanks for your answer!

Regarding your point 5. how could I contact Apple and send a feedback as you suggest? I mean is there any link? Could you provide me it please?

P.S.: in the Community how could I edit or change the nickname profile? I can't see any settings

Thank You a lot

You will probably never receive a response from that ChatBot that is masquerading as being a Real Contributor

Much of what they post, is only Copy and Past from some AI generated and suggest response to your question

We are very pleased you did ask them about their Point 5

Hallmarks of ChatBots are to never be able to post telephone numbers to Apple Support

Also, they do not supply Links to Apple Support Documents to support anything they are posting

It is unfortunate you were expecting support but the ChatBot will not do that.

actually, no, I didn't. I just informed the mods of your desire to change your user name.

In fact I received an email from Apple Support Community and following its guidelines I after sent an email to applemoderators@apple.com suggesting three new usernames (in the text of the first email I received they wrote that they'd have checked the availability of my suggestions in order of preference)

So do you know when they usually answer with a feedback?

I cannot give you a time frame, but it shouldn't take very long

Thank You

you're welcome

Hi jeffreythefrog,

about my previous P.S. I was only know the general procedure, so I didn't choose "lukzertron283" as my new (and actual) nickname or did any other modification. Did you do it that? In this case don't worry but it's just to understand
