Turn off automatic send

my friend is visually impaired and her iphone is set to read text messages allowed before sending. She used to be able to hear the text and then choose to send or change the message herself. Something has happened and messages send automatically whether she’s ready or not. She is now extremely frustrated as siri doesn’t always interpret her words correctly and she has no way of cancelling or changing.

How can we turn off auto send?

Go to Settings  > Siri & Search,

Tap Automatically Send Messages,

then turn off Automatically Send Messages.

Personalize your experience with Siri

The more you use Siri, the better Siri knows what you need.

You can also tell Siri about yourself and change how and when Siri responds.

See any of the following:

You can also use accessibility features with Siri.
