Bright light on Apple Watch SE

Sometimes at night when not charging a bright light comes on by itself and then drains the battery. How can I stop this

Apple Watch Series 8 sometimes discharges on charger before I go to bed I always charge my watch to 100%. I noticed that sometimes it actually discharges instead of charging. I reseat the watch and keep checking and it eventually charges to 100% it always lights up and shows my it’s charging but sometimes it lies.
