Iphone15 Disconnecting and Reconnecting to Apple Carplay using USB-USB-c Port

When I plug my phone into my car to connect to Apple Carplay, it will connect and disconnect constantly. Sometimes due to bumps in the road and sometimes for no reason at all. Is there an issue with my port? It is a brand new Iphone15 so I don't think I should be seeing issues with the charging port after only a couple of months.
