audio interface With GarageBand

I just bought an audio interface for my electric guitar, and I connected it to my MacBook with GarageBand, and I put the interface in as input and connected the headphones to the Mac as an outbit, but no sound comes out why? i need help

Garageband Mac Mini - USB audio interface recognised but no guitar sound Afternoon all. I'm trying to use a Positive Grid Spark Go as a USB interface for guitar with Garageband on a Mac Mini (Mac OS 12.6.4). The Spark Go is recognised as a USB interface and is selectable as an input device in GB. There doesn't seem to be any signal coming through to GB however. I can see that the input sound level gauge bar in the general system sound settings moves when I play guitar through the Spark Go, so something is coming through, just not to GB. I have tried the Spark Go out on BandLab on my Android phone and it works fine on that, so I assume that the unit is in working order. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

No input from usb audio codec I recently got an MacBook Pro 2015 and in bought an audio interface ( Behringer UMC22) , I tried this with different kinds of daws and it worked perfectly! I updated the Mac to Big Sur and I changed out the battery, now if I use Audacity I have perfect input from my guitar using the UMC22 but any other programs like garageband don't show any input. I have set everything like it should, garageband does recognize my interface and I have monitoring set to On.. Still nothing is happening, whatever I do I get no green input signal all. I there anybody who can tell me what else to do/try ? Thanks in advance

Mac mini: USB audio input not working in apps I have a Mac mini running OS 12.7.4 (Monterey). I'm trying to convert old cassette tapes and vinyl records to MP3 files, using a Griffin iMic USB converter. I have tried EZ Audio Converter and Audacity; both these apps recognize the USB converter, but neither registers an audio input when I start the cassette player or the record-player. The same thing happens when I use my Logitech USB headset: both EZ and Audacity recognize the headset, but neither show any signs of audio when I speak into the mouthpiece. Strangely, the Mac DOES respond to audio from the iMic or the Logitech when I select the 'Sound' icon in the 'Preferences' menu.

Please be a bit more detailed:

What interface? Does it accept low level inputs, or just line-in?

Did you allow it with the privacy settings?

Change Privacy & Security settings on Mac - Apple Support

How does it plug into the Mac?

Do you have monitoring turned on in GB?

Use input monitoring in GarageBand on Mac - Apple Atbalsts (LV)
