iPhone 'whistles' EVERY DAY AT 7AM?

I have an iPhone SE 2nd generation and since the most recent upgrades ios 17.3.1 - my phone 'whistles' EVERY DAY AT 7AM? Ive reviewed all haptics, sounds and notifications and cannot find what is causing this. Any helpful tips, recommendations or solutions are greatly appreciated.

iPhone SE, iOS 17

In the Alarm Clock app (it has an old-fashioned alarm clock icon) do you see a 7 AM alarm? If you do you can turn it off, or swipe across it right to left and delete it entirely. If you see that you have a Sleep/Wake Up alarm enabled you can manage that in the Health app under Sleep.

Go to Settings>Notifications and find every app that has sound enabled and turn off the sound (leaving on things like Messages and Phone). See what happens the next morning. If there are no sounds, start gong back and turning on sounds for only those apps you really want to get sound notifications from. I'd add only a few a day. That way, if the sound does re-appear, you'll have an idea which app is causing it.

In the past there have been some really weird apps, ones you wouldn't expect at all, that do this.

I'll give it a shot. Notifications is the umbrella term. There are different ways the phone can notify you of things. A notification can be a banner across the top of your phone. It can be a sound and/or vibration. It can be a little red number, called a "badge" on the apps icon. It can be all three at the same time.

Personally, I turn off sounds for most of my apps because I find them annoying. I leave it on for things like messages. I also don't like badges for most things.

You can set your notification preferences for each app individually in Settings>Notifications. I check it every few months because, sometimes, new apps trick me into turning on notifications (or I had a short-term reason for turning them on).

Here is some (a lot, actually) of additional information:

WOW, great details. I thank you so much for sharing!!! I will also open the link (when I am better suited to read all the information) that you provided. Again, really appreciate your input. I used to consider myself somewhat tech savvy (worked for DEC for 15 years) but the 'savvy' is fading since retirement ~ My gratitude:)

I'm glad it helped and I agree, it's not the sort of reading that is always enjoyable.

I like to think that "tech savvy" is not a specific body of knowledge but rather a way of approaching technology. And, if you're still asking questions about how and why things work (as opposed to ranting about how it was all perfect before the latest upgrade), I think you've still got some savvy.
