I'm trying to put a graphic over a Color Solid and get this error below. Screen shot below. When I click create transition, nothing happens.

I found the culprit. Out of frustration and needing to keep moving in the project, I deleted Final Cut Pro and reinstalled.

Turns out it must of been a 3rd party plug-in I was using to make a solid white background. I now replaced it with one from Generators / Solids and the transition went on fine.

I was also having a problem with a custom command set (Keyboard short cuts). I'm coming to realize after a few FCP updates, I should start fresh, reinstall, and stop using any templates or custom settings.

Thank you all for the help.
