Received a notification saying that my iPhone has a virus

Unless an iPhone is (has been) jailbroken, it can't get any viruses.

It could be a scam/phishing attempt. Ignore it and DO NOT give any personal info to anyone.

As a precaution, clear your browser (Safari) history:--> Clear the history, cache, and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and check also if you have inadvertedly subscribed to a rogue calendar (see the instructions here:--> Delete spam calendars and events on iPhone )

When done, restart your iPhone.

Your phone does not have a virus.

You saw a message or email that was trying to trick you into clicking or tapping on a link that will sell you completely useless software that will do nothing to help your phone and possibly damage it.

Delete the message. NEVER tap or click on a link in a message like this.

All such messages are scams presented by criminals. Close the offending page and avoid sites that are involved in such bogus advertising tactics.
