Creating a numbered list with check boxes in Apple Notes

Hi everyone,

I am coming from OneNote, now trying to use Apple notes as my primary note taking app.

I realized I can make a list either numbered or a checklist. If i create a numbered list than then click the checklist button, the numbering dissapears. Is there a workaround?

It feels like a SUPER simple capability to enable both checklist and numbering at the same time. Apple team, is this on the roadmap to enable?
