You can expect a 1% - 2% drop a month on average. Some months it may not drop at all, while others you may see a drop. After the Maximum Capacity drops below 80% it will need to be replaced. Using Optimized charging and charging on a regular schedule is the best thing you can do to preserve the battery.

There are steps you can take to cripple your phone so it does not use the battery as often, but you will need to decide if that would be worth it for the few extra months you may get out of it.

  • Turn on Low Power Mode
  • Shut off Bluetooth
  • Shut off Wifi when not in use
  • Shut off Cellular data when not in use
  • Shut off device when not in use
