Erasing MacBook Air error 7005 when signing out of iCloud

I have followed all the instructions for totally erasing my old MacBook Air. I get to the signout of Apple ID, and I get stuck on error 7005 (authentication). Anyone have any idea how to deal with this? Is there a workaround?

Unable to log into iCloud. Re-instal of Mac OS did not resolve. On my iMac 24" M1 Ventura I am unable to sign into iCloud. In settings when I am prompted to sign in I encounter a loading wheel that spins indefinitely until I force quit settings. I know that I am using the correct password because I can continuously sign in/out of iCloud on my iPhone, MacBook Pro, and iPad with no issues. Additionally, if I intentionally enter the wrong password the system notifies me immediately that it is incorrect. I have made several calls to Apple Support but they had no success in helping. They had me reinstall osx but this did not resolve the issue. Has anyone else run into this?

apple ID login on mac mini "unknown error occurred" I cannot log in with my apple id to my mac mini (additional standard user or admin) all existing and new apple ID accounts bring up the "unknown error occurred" Any ideas? apple ids are working fine on other devices and existing users on the mac mini.
