How to sync Messages across all my Apple Devices

When I receive spam texts in iMessage and delete them on one device, they remain on the other devices until I manually delete them there too.

Im working with an iPhone7 currently, a brand new M1 iMac desktop unit and and an MacBook Pro early 2015 model.

Is there a way to get the machines in synch so I don't waste time manually deleting messages on 3 machines?

The only way to sync Messages across devices is to enable iCloud Messages in the Messages app settings.

Even then, I have problems with my iPad keeping in sync.

I blundered into a way to delete messages across all my devices: select msg, then double swipe to the left. A window will ask: "delete from all devices?"
