Need help with opening a bin file

I am trying to download Nikon Z firmware on my I Mac but I keep getting a window that says

unable to expand “z_5_0142.bin” It is in an unsupported format.

Any help on how to open it would be appreciated.

iMac 24″, macOS 14.3

The ".bin" file is the actual firmware file you need to send or upload to your camera. Safari by default is set to open known file types such as ".zip" files so that step was already completed. Skip to the next step to upload the ".bin" file to the camera.
