Apple gift card code damaged

I but this giff card I don’t know if you've noticed it this card is made by paper and comes with sticky glue covering the code when you removed the number or letters come out I call apple support to ask for the code they can help me because they need the The wrapping of the card, the wrapping, not the bar number I have my receipt from store I have the card with me and they can not give me a new code or new card I hope someone can help me to resolve this issue thanks
