Mail app won't open/crashes after Sonoma Upgrade
This is a 2018 Macbook Pro i9, 32gb ram, 4tb, that was upgraded to the Sonoma OS. Everything seemed fine, until trying to open mail. The mail app crashes immediately when trying to open. I've made out just enough where it says upgrading library, shows a progress bar, then crashes.
I'll get the reopen, ignore, report option, then try again and crashes.
I've done the following with Apple support and the senior team, in no particular order and hope i'm not leaving anything out:
Create a test admin account - this works when opening mail, as it appears its wanting to go through everything the 1st time. However, this obviously isn't efficient, as it's not the main account. But it was promising.
Remove login items - done that, didn't help
Start in safe mode, then open mail app - done that, didn't help. Still crashed
Try to reinstall the OS in recovery mode - Done that - it failed to reinstall 2x. It's like it'll download, but then can't install it.
Deleted the cache from the library
Check the disk utility and ran first aid - all is well
Plenty of HDD space (120+ gb)
Ran a diagnostic before startup - no errors
Removed the Failure Daemon into a new folder along with the Input Methods (and another folder they mentioned, that I cant remember right now).
I think that's it, but I can't remember right now. Reaching out to see if there's any other options to try and just get this mail app to work. I don't understand why I can't force delete the app then download it from apple to have it reinstall, as an app.
Here's the crash report that I don't know what I'm looking at. Hope you all have some insight, short of erase and try again. TIA.
Crash report details attached.
